M5D is seeking a Field Services Engineer to install and service industrial 3D printing systems across Ohio. The role blends electronics, mechanics, and strong customer-facing support with hands-on problem solving.

Travel is daily with a company vehicle provided; we offer training and growth opportunities while working with leading 3D printing technologies from HP, AMT Solutions, and One Click Metal.

Field Services Engineer - 3D Technology & Manufacturing

Location: Central / Eastern Ohio (Cincinnati area preferred)

M5D (formerly MasterGraphics) is seeking an ambitious Field Services Engineer who combines a strong background in electronics, 3D printing, and mechanical repair with a dedication to providing hands-on skills and a customer-first mindset to customers in Ohio and surrounding areas. Dedicated to the manufacturing, design, and construction industries, this position focuses on installing and servicing 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing solutions. We represent industry leaders such as HP, AMT Solutions, and One Click Metal, among others. This Field Service Engineer will join our experienced professional team of award-winning technicians.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is a hands-on, technical role focused on industrial 3D printers:

• Install and set up 3D printing systems at customer sites
• Diagnose and repair complex 3D printers and post-processing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Train customers in how to use and maintain printers
• Maintain knowledge of products and technical developments, as well as required training and certifications
• Manage service logs and coordinate with dispatch

This position is remote in central or eastern Ohio (Cincinnati area preferred) and covers customers in Ohio and surrounding areas. Daily travel and occasional overnight stays are required . A company vehicle will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• Associate's degree or trade school certification
• Position requires a current and valid Driver's License with no restrictions
• No immigration sponsorship available for this position

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and repair of electronics and computers, as well as having a solid electro/mechanical aptitude.
• Requires skills in organization, problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer relations.
• Ability to speak effectively before customers and act in an advisory capacity.
• Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in the business environment and a commitment to professionally represent M5D.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines with multiple interruptions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Travel required: must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Moderate physical activity is required by handling objects up to 50 pounds
• Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, and standing.
• Proficient with common hand tools and measurement tools, including calipers, gauge blocks, multi-meters, etc.
• Understanding of unique customer configuration - materials and software used.
• Awareness of customers' expertise, capability, and willingness to do self-maintenance.

NOTE:

Many of these qualifications can be learned on the job. We will provide training for those who do not yet have these skills but retain the aptitude and willingness to learn. Training will also take place with the manufacturers and vendors.
