Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; AA degree from a technical school or related; Military training preferred.
  • 3+ years related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation and repair of electronic systems and computers; solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair with attention to detail.
  • Requires organization, problem solving, and customer-relations skills.
  • Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in a business environment and professional representation of 3D Systems.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Travel required; valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, sit and talk; exposure to electrical hazards and lasers.
  • High school diploma and technical degree/military training background noted.

Field Service Engineer - Massachusetts - 26000075

The Field Service Engineer ensures optimal operational performance of hardware related to 3D printers installed at customer locations. This role provides hands-on technical service including installation, relocation, repair, and preventative maintenance. This is a field-based position requiring travel to customer sites throughout Massachusetts.

What You’ll Do

  • Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation and repair of electronic systems and computers, as well as a solid mechanical aptitude
  • knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair with attention to detail

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Travel required; valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to do the following on a frequent basis: climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, sit and talk. Tasks can include using equipment, which requires working with electrical hazards, high-power lasers and metal alloy powders, which, if handled incorrectly, can cause health hazards/injuries.
  • Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • High school diploma required; AA degree from a technical school or related; Military training preferred
