Job summary

HSG LASER is seeking a field service technician in the United States to install, commission, and train customers on new laser cutting equipment at their sites, ensuring acceptance, safety, and training checklists are signed. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues to maximize reliability, provide operator guidance, participate in exhibitions, and keep detailed service records for future reference.

National travel and flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of service experience with laser cutting machines or related industries.
• Diligent, conscientious work attitude with strong execution and team spirit.

Responsibilities

Job description

Equipment Installation and Maintenance :

• Conduct pre - installation site checks and assist with equipment unloading.
• Complete the installation, commissioning, and operator training for new equipment at customer sites, ensuring all acceptance, safety, and training checklist documents are signed.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure equipment reliability and performance.

Customer Support :

• Instruct customers on basic machine operations, safety, and metal applications.
• Provide operational training and best practices for effective equipment use.
• Build positive relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and ongoing support.

Exhibition Support :

• Participate in exhibitions, complete exhibition equipment installation, disassembly, and commissioning, and operate equipment during exhibitions.

Record - Keeping :

• Maintain detailed records of service work, repairs, and equipment status for future reference.

Requirements :

Education :

• Associate degree or above, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or other science and engineering related fields.

Experience :

• At least 2 years of service experience in laser cutting machines or related industries.

Skills and Attributes :

• Diligent and conscientious work attitude, strong execution ability, team spirit, and the ability to withstand pressure.
• Good service mentality and patient communication skills.
• Ability to travel nationally if required.
• Some flexibility in working hours based on customer requirements.
