Job summary

Growing Groves is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support atmospheric and vacuum heat treat equipment, install new machines, and work with internal teams to meet customer needs. The role is remote with North American territory and requires frequent travel to customer sites.

You will demonstrate equipment operation, coordinate layouts for installs, and support remote customer issues from a home office when not traveling. Strong mechanical skills and PLC experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven industrial field service experience on heavy capital equipment.
• Deep mechanical experience with interest or experience in learning electrical.
• Strong aptitude to succeed in a technical and relationship-driven business.
• Willingness to regularly travel to customer sites.
• Self-directed and organized with the ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Growing Groves is partnering with a well-known leader in heat treat equipment manufacturing to find a Field Service Engineer for their team. This is a role for a technical professional who thrives on a consistently varied environment and set of challenges.

Company and Position Summary

Our client is a leader in the heat treat industry, known for offering challenging career opportunities and deep professional training. They are seeking a Field Sales Technician/Engineer to join cross-functional teams to support aftermarket and new installs of heat treat equipment. You'll also be a critical liaison between the customer and the internal engineering teams, ensuring that the customer's technical needs are met with the best possible solution.

Location: Remote with smooth airport access

Territory: North America

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Service and support of the atmospheric and vacuum heat treat equipment lines
• New machine install, set up, and first run
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams with complex support/install needs
• Coordinate layout with customer for new installs
• Provide operation demonstration to customers
• When not traveling, use home office to support remote customer issues, revise internal documentation, etc.
