Job summary

Kensington360 is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and repair manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, saws, grinders, and metrology equipment at customer sites and service centers.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventive maintenance, complete service reports, and keep certifications up to date. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in MN, WI, IA are required.

Qualifications

• reside in MN, WI, or IA.
• Associate degree or technical school; 2 years relevant experience and training; or equivalent combination.
• 0–5 years of experience in related field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of machining, milling, and metrology.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; ladder logic.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing various routine field service activities on manual milling machines, CNC machines, lathes, saws, grinding, and metrology equipment. This role involves installation, periodic maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repair of technical, mechanical, and electrical equipment failures in the field.

The engineer follows standard procedures to diagnose and resolve machine issues and reports any design, reliability, or maintenance problems through field service management software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installed, troubleshot, and repaired milling machines (manual & CNC), lathes, saws, grinding, and metrology machines at service centers or customer sites.
• Completes all required service work reports, time sheets, and other documentation as directed by the Field Service Manager.
• Ensures all required training and certifications are kept up to date.
• Maintains specified spare parts stock levels in the service van

Education and Experience:

• Must reside in MN, WI, or IA.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a college or technical school; 2 years of relevant experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-5 years of experience in a related field.

• Ability to communicate effectively, respond to feedback, and voice concerns constructively.
