Job summary

Genuine Search Group seeks an experienced Field Service Technician (CNC) to install, service, and repair CNC equipment at customer sites across the region. You will work hands-on with Fanuc and Siemens controls, diagnose complex issues, and lead preventive maintenance initiatives.

The role requires travel up to 40% (up to one week at a time), strong electrical/PLC knowledge, and excellent communication with customers and teams. A relevant engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on CNC maintenance and service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, including trips lasting up to one week.
• Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one).
• Preferred degree in Engineering/Mechatronics or related field.

Responsibilities

Position Title: Field Service Technician (CNC)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with a strong background in CNC maintenance and service to support installation, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced manufacturing equipment. This role requires a self-directed professional who is comfortable working on-site at customer facilities and traveling for extended periods (up to one week at a time).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and start-up of CNC machinery at customer sites
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on CNC equipment
• Conduct preventive maintenance and system performance evaluations
• Provide technical support and training to customers on proper machine operation and maintenance
• Troubleshoot CNC control systems, including Fanuc and/or Siemens platforms
• Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on CNC maintenance and service experience
• Strong expertise with Fanuc and/or Siemens CNC control systems
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and servo motors
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%, including trips lasting up to one week at a time
• Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
• Experience working with multi-axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, machining centers)
• Familiarity with additional control systems or industrial automation platforms
• Previous field service experience in a customer-facing role

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent travel to customer sites, including industrial manufacturing environments
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in confined spaces as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
