Job summary

BearCom is hiring a service technician in Quincy, MA to install and repair two-way radio systems. You will create simple programming codeplugs, perform mobile installations, and troubleshoot equipment, with some regional travel and on-call duties.

The role requires a strong electronics background, RF knowledge, and the ability to read schematics, using a variety of test tools and MS Office for reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years service technician experience in radio equipment repair and installation.
• Knowledge of 2-way radio theory, RF propagation and frequency bands.
• Able to interpret schematics and diagrams.
• Proficient with test equipment and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create basic programming codeplugs (≤12 channels).
• Perform basic mobile installations (radio, antenna, modem).
• Troubleshoot and repair radios and wireless equipment.
• Travel regionally and be on-call as needed.
