Job summary

Andersen Corporation in the South Chicago area is seeking a Field Service Technician II to repair and maintain Renewal by Andersen windows and doors, delivering superior customer service on-site.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong diagnostic and installation skills to service installed products, mentor teammates, and uphold the company's Total Rewards culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to service and repair previously installed windows & doors.
• Ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, door components, window coverings, and hardware.
• Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills; organization to manage schedules and stock.
• 2+ years of window installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair previously installed Renewal by Andersen products.
• Analyzes customers situations, determines corrective action to be taken and verify the action has fixed the situation in a cost efficient and effective manner.
• Keep team member informed as needed of customer interactions and actions taken to resolve service issues.
• Coach, train and mentor Service Techs.
• Keep service area neat and organized; inventory service stock area of warehouse; request material replenishment as needed; provide detailed information to Service RSRs.
• Provide Signature Service to homeowners and peers.
• Advanced knowledge of RbA window and door installation techniques and ability to correct installation errors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
