Job summary

Rochester Midland Corporation in New York, NY is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service contracted Food Safety and Water Treatment accounts. You will perform routine troubleshooting, installations and repairs of chemical feed and control equipment, and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with accounts, executing scheduled service routes, and reporting on program status. Strong mechanical, plumbing and electrical skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• Associate's degree in science preferred.
• Two years of maintenance, sanitation, water treatment and/or food plant industry experience preferred.
• Basic pipe fitting and electrical ability a plus.
• Working knowledge of food and water treatment fundamentals and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with accounts and promote products.
• Perform scheduled service routes per division standards.
• Handle and install chemical dispensing and application equipment.
• Apply treatment products safely and responsibly.
• Analyze treatment programs to determine product effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
• Install and repair all related equipment and provide service reports.
