Job summary

Culligan is seeking a Service Technician to operate and maintain commercial, residential, and light industrial water treatment systems and perform preventive maintenance. You’ll work closely with customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure systems run safely and efficiently.

Expected to handle a full-time schedule with on-call duties, using handheld devices for data entry and scheduling. Training is provided to maintain technical proficiency and safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical experience.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Willing to work a full-time schedule and be on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Locate sources of problems by observing and testing systems operation.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment; use hand and power tools; replace parts and test.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies on truck; manage inventory.
  • Provide system information to customers; educate on product usage.
  • Attend workshops and review technical publications to maintain knowledge.
  • Ensure safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to team by meeting daily/weekly/monthly goals.
  • Ensure service vehicle is clean, safe and operational.
  • Communicate with office staff to ensure job accuracy and data entry.

JOB TITLE: Service Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager
SUMMARY:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for operating commercial, residential and light industrial water treatment systems and performing scheduled preventive maintenance as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Locate sources of problems by observing and testing systems operation. Uses precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment; using hand and power tools; replace defective parts and test for proper operation.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies on truck by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Provide system information to customers by answering maintenance questions and educating customer on product.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing daily, weekly & monthly goals.
  • Assure service vehicle is clean, safe and in proper operation condition always.
  • Communicate with office staff frequently to ensure job accuracy and data entry
  • Able to use handheld devices for data entry, schedule maintenance, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid driver's license
  • Other skills required:
  • Basic plumbing and electrical experience
  • Mechanically inclined

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
