Job summary

Xylem Field Service Technician position is based in Texas and involves performing field service at customer sites, troubleshooting and servicing mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, and conducting preventative maintenance. The role requires travel to multiple sites, strong problem-solving, and clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of technical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and are comfortable working in a field setting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred.
• Experience in a technical, mechanical, electrical, diesel, plumbing, HVAC, construction, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization and at customer sites.
• Perform field service, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair activities on equipment and systems.
• Identify and address safety concerns involving Company- and customer-owned equipment.
• Maintain appropriate parts inventory and ensure Company property is properly cared for.
• Demonstrate a high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment.
• Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
• Work under direct supervision when required while demonstrating the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Communicate technical information clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
