Job summary

Rodney Hunt Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair water control gates and valves, including their manual, electric and hydraulic actuators, with up to 50% travel.

You will collaborate with project management, engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely service delivery, proper documentation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical cert is a plus.
• 3+ years of field service/technical support experience, preferably in water treatment or industrial gate manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to travel up to 50% domestically and some international travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair water gates and valves at client sites.
• Perform system testing, calibration, and adjustments for optimum performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to meet timelines and expectations.
• Document service visits, work performed, and follow-ups in reports.
