Job summary

Rodney Hunt is seeking a Field Service Technician to support water treatment and gate manufacturing projects. The role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water control gates and valves and their actuators.

Collaboration with PM, engineering, and production teams ensures service quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, read technical drawings,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's/technical cert a plus
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• 3+ years field service/technical support experience
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Able to travel up to 50% domestically and some international travel
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair water control gates and valves at client sites
• Perform system testing, calibration, and adjustments for optimal performance
• Provide training and technical support to customers on equipment usage
• Document service visits and follow-ups in service reports
• Ensure safety protocols and company policies on-site
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams
• Manage service tools and equipment inventory
