Job summary

Flow International Corp (Flow) is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and support Waterjet and Fiber Laser systems. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, a customer-first mindset, and extensive travel.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote support, training customers, and maintaining thorough documentation. Travel up to 100% with some international trips is expected; overtime and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA degree in Electronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Waterjet, CNC Laser, or Press Brake.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery installation or field service.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Waterjet, CNC Laser and Press Brake systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Train customers in machine operation, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software issues.
• Complete detailed service documentation and reports.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and assist with parts identification.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and holiday support.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
