Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our expanding Service organization across the United States. You will install, commission, maintain, repair, upgrade, and provide life-cycle support for transformer equipment at customer sites.

The role reports to the Regional Field Operation Manager and combines hands-on electrical/mechanical work with a strong customer focus. Expect extensive field travel, safety-focused duties, and opportunities to enhance transformer

Qualifications

• 2+ years of transformer field service experience or 5+ years with HS diploma.
• Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 85% and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site and remote services for transformers.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings, manuals, and service instructions.
• Perform transformer internal work: bushings, lead clearance, tapping, crimps, and joints.
• Repair, re-gasket, assemble, and disassemble transformer equipment.
• Operate Vacuum Oil Processors (VOPs) and oil-handling equipment.
