Job summary

Mitutoyo America Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician Trainee in Aurora, IL. The role installs, calibrates, and repairs precision measuring equipment at customer sites with up to 100% travel.

A 3–6 month training program precedes progression to Field Service Technician; candidates must have a four-year college equivalency and two years of experience. Benefits include PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive company programs.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to four years of college.
• Two years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of assigned product group(s).
• Promote the sale of customer service agreements as appropriate.
• Maintain daily contact with headquarters per MACFS SOP, including schedule, start/stop times and reporting.
• Maintain contact with customers as scheduled per MACFS SOP.
• Train end users in proper preventive maintenance procedures for equipment.
• Submit weekly paperwork including work orders, calibration reports, time/activity reports and expenses.
• Email completed work orders and calibration data within 24–72 hours of job completion.
• Maintain equipment and ensure calibration certificates and stickers are up to date.
• Communicate potential problems to management regarding customer complaints, software or hardware issues.
• Adhere to MACFS quality management system for integrity and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an up-to-date parts inventory and proper paperwork for parts status and returns.
