You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and educate customers on operation and safety. A technical background and 3+ years in PV field service are essential.

Formación

• Technical qualification or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician, specifically with Solar PV systems.
• Proven ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair PV systems and associated components (inverters, batteries).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and multimeters.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel regularly within the region.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be willing and able to work full-time, on-site in and around Upington, Northern Cape.

This hands-on role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of photovoltaic (PV) systems across residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of solar installations, conducting site assessments, and providing technical support to customers.
