Job summary

Securitas Technology in Houston, TX is seeking an Alarm Technician to service, install, and maintain security systems at client sites. You will respond to trouble tickets, perform on-site software upgrades, and coordinate with teams to ensure uptime.

Requirements include a High School diploma, familiarity with low voltage equipment, and knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and fire alarm systems. EL06 license near completion is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of access control, CCTV, burglary and fire alarm systems.
• EL06 license active or close to obtaining it is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure uptime and system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues both individually and in teams.
• Execute preventive maintenance to maximize availability and identify faults.
• Perform routine configuration changes (permissions, settings).
• Document all system modifications in change tracking system.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of upgrades and on-site installations.
