Job summary

Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG in New York, NY is seeking a Field Service Technician to complete mobile work orders accurately, capture labor and travel times, document equipment details (make, model, serial), parts used, and attach notes, photos, and customer signatures within the system.

You will provide responsive service to customers, handle daily reporting including timesheets and repair orders, diagnose errors, perform on-site installation, maintenance and testing, and pursue revenue

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related mechanical or technical experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete mobile work orders, including capturing labor and travel time stamps, equipment list (make, model, serial number), parts used, and/or used, detailed notes, root cause identification, and attachments (photos, signatures) in the system.
• Responsive interaction with customers and providing a high level of service.
• Submit all required business reporting documentation (timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, repair order logs).
• Recognize and secure additional revenue opportunities – PM service agreements, spare parts, refurb equipment, short-term rental, and other on-site equipment.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $30.00-$34.00 DOE including bonus opportunity under the Karcher Incentive Program.

This is how you WOW:

• Accurately and timely completion of Astea Mobile Work Orders, including capturing labor and travel time stamps, equipment list (make, model, serial number), parts and material needed and/or used, additional fees and expenses, detailed notes of work performed for each visit, root caused identification, submission of electronic files, checklists, and pictures as attachments within the system, capture customer name and signature.
• Responsive Interaction with customers providing the highest level of service
• Satisfy in a timely and complete fashion, all business reporting documentation including but not limited to: timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, and repair order logs.
• Recognizing and securing additional revenue opportunities – new potential customers, recovering lost customers, PM service agreements, refurb equipment, short-term rental, spare parts, and other equipment on site
• Daily processing of Parts Received at tech location, to be conducted at the beginning of each day. Report discrepancies immediately.
• Managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
• Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
• Other duties as assigned

• 3 to 5 years of related mechanical or technical experience, troubleshooting corded electric, battery, and/or combustion engine-powered equipment.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
