Job summary

Kärcher is seeking an on-site Service Technician in the United States to accurately complete Astea Mobile work orders, track labor/time, parts, and customer signatures. You will interact with customers, handle service reporting, and pursue additional revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related mechanical or technical experience, troubleshooting corded electric, battery, and/or combustion engine-powered equipment.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete Astea Mobile Work Orders accurately, including labor and travel time stamps, equipment details, parts used, and customer signature.
• Provide responsive interaction with customers delivering high service levels.
• Complete business reporting documentation (timesheets, repair orders, checklists, and expense reports).
• Identify and pursue additional revenue opportunities (new customers, PM service, refurb equipment, rentals, spare parts).
• Process daily Parts Received at the tech location and report discrepancies.
• Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $28.00 to $34.00 per hour plus up to 5,000 yearly bonus opportunity under the Service Technician Incentive Plan.
This Is How You WOW

• Accurately and timely completion of Astea Mobile Work Orders, including capturing labor and travel time stamps, equipment list (make, model, serial number), parts and material needed and/or used, additional fees and expenses, detailed notes of work performed for each visit, root caused identification, submission of electronic files, checklists, and pictures as attachments within the system, capture customer name and signature.
• Responsive Interaction with customers providing the highest level of service
• Satisfy in a timely and complete fashion, all business reporting documentation including but not limited to: timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, and repair order logs.
• Recognizing and securing additional revenue opportunities – new potential customers, recovering lost customers, PM service agreements, refurb equipment, short-term rental, spare parts, and other equipment on site
• Daily processing of Parts Received at tech location, to be conducted at the beginning of each day. Report discrepancies immediately.
• Managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
• Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
• Other duties as assigned
