Job summary

Kärcher in San Francisco is seeking a Service Technician to accurately and timely complete mobile work orders, record labor, travel time, parts, and photos, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will identify root causes, attach electronic files, and capture signatures, while also handling on-site installation, maintenance, and testing tasks.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical/technical experience, strong electro-mechanical skills, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and timely completion of Mobile Work Orders, including capturing labor and travel time stamps, equipment list, parts and material needed, and detailed notes for each visit.
• Responsive interaction with customers providing high service levels.
• Meet reporting requirements including timesheets, repair orders, and logs.
• Identify and secure additional revenue opportunities – PM service agreements, spare parts, and on-site equipment.
• Process Parts Received at the tech location at start of day and report discrepancies.
• Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $28.00 to $34.00 per hour plus up to 5,000 yearly bonus opportunity under the Service Technician Incentive Plan.

This Is How You WOW

• Accurately and timely completion of Astea Mobile Work Orders, including capturing labor and travel time stamps, equipment list (make, model, serial number), parts and material needed and/or used, additional fees and expenses, detailed notes of work performed for each visit, root caused identification, submission of electronic files, checklists, and pictures as attachments within the system, capture customer name and signature.
• Responsive Interaction with customers providing the highest level of service
• Satisfy in a timely and complete fashion, all business reporting documentation including but not limited to: timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, and repair order logs.
• Recognizing and securing additional revenue opportunities – new potential customers, recovering lost customers, PM service agreements, refurb equipment, short-term rental, spare parts, and other equipment on site
• Daily processing of Parts Received at tech location, to be conducted at the beginning of each day. Report discrepancies immediately.
• Managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
• Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
• Other duties as assigned

• 3 to 5 years of related mechanical or technical experience, troubleshooting corded electric, battery, and/or combustion engine-powered equipment.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
