Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, service, and repair pumping and related equipment at customer sites or in Xylem service centers. The role includes after-hours on-call rotation and travel to customer locations as needed.

A CDL upgrade may be provided with paid training, and benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision coverage and retirement plans. Starting hourly wage ranges from $28 to $30, depending on skills, experience, and location.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of diesel experience or equivalent training.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card.
• Diagnosing basic mechanical problems.
• Safety practices and procedures.
• Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on Godwin fleet equipment between rentals.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine and pump problems.
• Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends as needed.
• Assist in setting up pumping systems at customer sites and during start-up.
• Inspect equipment for damages and report findings.
• Test repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
• Perform maintenance on company vehicles and shop equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic checks using computer technology.
• Participate in monthly on-call rotation to assist customers after hours.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.
