Job summary

Blue Line Solutions, LLC in Chattanooga is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to install, service, and maintain enforcement hardware at customer sites nationwide. This role requires frequent overnight travel and the ability to work independently in the field as well as with in-house engineers.

You will diagnose issues using test tools, follow prints and safety standards, document service visits, and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure reliable operation of traffic safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, or field service.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using small hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.
• Experience with basic networking and hardware configuration is a plus.
• Soldering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and service public safety enforcement systems including cameras, brackets, solar panels, and wiring harnesses.
• Perform on-site repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting.
• Use test equipment, hand tools, and schematics to diagnose and correct system malfunctions.
• Assemble wiring and electrical components following prints, specifications, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
• Support in-house teams by assisting with assembly and field prep activities.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with ISO and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and customers.
• Complete documentation and reports related to service visits and repairs.
• Follow all company policies related to safety, data handling, and field protocols.
