Job summary

EO Johnson Business Technologies is seeking a field service technician to diagnose and repair multi-functional devices and production print equipment at customer sites. You will travel to locations, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic systems, and provide hands-on training to customers on equipment operation and best practices.

You will maintain tools, vehicle, and inventory, and participate in ongoing training and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical and electrical systems aptitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable with extended service calls, occasional overtime, and limited on-call nights/weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• College diploma in Electromechanical, IT, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose issues and perform repairs or preventative maintenance on multi-functional devices and production print equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, software, media, and network-related problems in high-volume printing environments.
• Communicate daily with dispatch, parts, management, sales, and technicians to ensure timely service.
• Train customers on new equipment operation, functionality, and best practices.
• Maintain EO Johnson-supplied tools, computing devices, vehicle, and parts inventory in organized condition.
• Participate in ongoing technical training, including occasional out-of-state travel.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements and provide referrals to sales.
• Accurately document service work and billable activities.
