Job summary

EO Johnson Business Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to support high-speed production print, large format, and finishing equipment at customer sites. You will travel, diagnose issues, repair or maintain devices, and train customers on operation and best practices.

Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, solid troubleshooting, excellent communication, and a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel and participate in ongoing training is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical servicing aptitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable with extended service calls, overtime, and some on-call nights/weekends.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose issues and perform repairs or preventive maintenance on multi-functional devices and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, software, media, and network problems in high-volume environments.
• Communicate daily with dispatch, parts, management, sales, and technicians to ensure timely service.
• Train customers on equipment operation, functionality, and best practices.
• Maintain tools, computing devices, vehicle, and parts inventory in good condition.
• Participate in ongoing technical training, including occasional out-of-state travel.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements and refer to sales.
• Accurately document service work and billable activities.
