Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon in Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low to high-voltage electrical distribution equipment in utility and industrial settings. You will work hands-on with transformers, breakers, switchgear, and relays, delivering safe, reliable service in the field.

Travel locally and regionally, occasional overnights; strong communication and the ability to read one-line diagrams are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA certification preferred; may substitute 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and exceptional customer service mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.
