Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our Power Solutions Group. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical distribution equipment for utilities, industrial facilities, and commercial operations across North America.

You will travel locally and regionally, handle reports, and ensure safety standards while delivering exceptional service to customers in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA certification preferred; will substitute 5 years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment.
• Valid drivers license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
• Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.
