Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical distribution equipment across low, medium, and high voltage systems. You will travel locally and regionally, respond to customer needs including emergencies, and ensure safety and meticulous documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, possible technical training or an associate degree, and preference for NETA certification; a valid driver’s license and ability to pass

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA certification preferred; will substitute 3+ years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
• Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE (arc-flash gear, fall protection, respirators, etc.).
• Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit)

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain LV/MV/HV electrical distribution equipment.
• Test transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs, including emergencies, with professionalism.
• Maintain safety by following company and customer standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally with occasional overnight assignments.
