Job summary
Ohio CAT, a Caterpillar Dealership, is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of CAT Power Generation equipment. You will operate from a fully equipped Ohio CAT service truck, servicing generators, switchgear, ATS, and control panels to ensure reliable operation for customers.
Ideal candidates have hands-on diesel/generator experience, read wiring diagrams, and can work independently in outdoor settings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical school (min 2 yrs) in diesel/power generation.

- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in repairing diesel engines, generators and industrial equipment.

- Minimum of 5 years hands-on field experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance and repair of CAT Power Generation equipment and related systems.

- Operate from a fully equipped service truck and service generators, switchgear, ATS, and control panels.

- Use CAT ET, SIS and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues and support customers.

- Ensure safety protocols and proper documentation of service actions.

- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support.
