Job summary

Ohio CAT is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair CAT Power Generation equipment on-site, using a fully equipped service truck.

You will perform load testing, commissioning and preventive maintenance while delivering strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Independence, outdoor work, and a solid technical background are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus a 2-year diesel or power generation tech program.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on repair experience for diesel engines, generators and industrial equipment.
• Experience with CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler or Detroit Diesel generator systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and control schematics; independent field work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair CAT power generation equipment on-site.
• Perform load testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support; adhere to safety standards.
