️ Experienced Field Service Technician – PLC Specialist | Up to 25% Travel

Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for troubleshooting and automation? We're looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with strong PLC programming capabilities to support our equipment installations and service operations. This role allows you to stay grounded most of the time, with occasional travel (up to 25%) to customer sites for hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of automated industrial equipment
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
• Support customers remotely and on-site as needed — travel is required up to 25% of the time
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, electrical components, sensors, drives, and actuators
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Deliver training and technical support to customers and end-users
• Document service calls and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth commissioning and field support
  
  

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a field service or controls technician
• Strong background in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
• Familiarity with industrial automation systems, motion control, and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with a professional customer-facing demeanor
• Valid driver’s license; able to travel up to 25% (mostly domestic)
• Associate degree or technical training in mechatronics, automation, or industrial maintenance preferred
  
  

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Experience with SCADA systems, servo motors, or VFDs
• Background in manufacturing environments such as packaging, food/beverage, or material handling
• Electrical certification or journeyman license
