Job Title: (Traveling) Field Service Technician

Location: East Coast preferred, will consider central US (Remote)

Travel Required: Extensive (60%-80%)

Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a Field Technician who is not only technically savvy, but also a hands-on problem-solver and independent operator with strong business judgment. This person will play a key role in onboarding salons to the CLICS system, supporting ongoing technical needs, and representing our brand in the field. The ideal candidate is a doer — someone who rolls up their sleeves, owns outcomes, and ensures our partners succeed.

This role involves extensive travel (60%–80%) across the eastern U.S., so flexibility and autonomy are essential. In addition to technical duties, this person must be capable of managing site visits, prioritizing needs, communicating across departments, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve our processes and support model. This is a customer-facing role. Must be able to engage with customers and have a low impact on their business operations.

Key Responsibilities (and other tasks as assigned):

  • Travel to salon locations to install, configure, and test CLICS systems (hardware and software).
  • Safely handle and transport heavy equipment during installations, maintenance visits, and service calls (equipment may weigh up to 100 lbs).
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational issues on-site and offer effective resolutions in real-time.
  • Conduct routine maintenance visits to ensure dispensers are operating correctly and efficiently.
  • Work with the Director of Operations and Logistics team to coordinate on-site visits, timelines, and customer communications with minimal supervision.
  • Report on-site performance, customer feedback, and recurring technical issues to the Field Operations and Product teams.
  • Help refine and document(with written reports, photos, etc) field service procedures for scalability.
  • Serve as a trusted representative of CLICS — demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and product knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in field service, customer implementation, or technical support roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects, solve problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident leading training and building trust with customers.
  • Technically capable — comfortable with hardware setup, computer networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Managerial acumen — able to think strategically in the field, identify patterns, and communicate operational insights back to leadership.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability — must be a “doer” who takes initiative and drives success on-site.
  • Must be able to effectively use Google Suite, Slack, ClickUp and various other technical tools and platforms.
  • Must be able to lift 80lbs+ and ability to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods during on-site installations and maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time (including some overnight stays).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience in the beauty, salon, or professional services industry is a plus.

  • Familiarity with CRM, support, or ticketing systems.
  • Prior experience in a startup or growth-stage company.
  • Proficient understanding of Wi-Fi networks and cellular devices.
