What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify member information and input data for pharmacists
- Educate members on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources
- Process prior authorization requests and ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid requirements
- Resolve grievances and appeals issues related to medications
- Respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and team members regarding medications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active professional license or certification as required by state law to practice as a Pharmacy Technician
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent background
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with electronic health records
- Basic knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
- Experience interacting with members on the phone
- Proficiency in computer use while multitasking
