Job summary

FMH Conveyors, a Duravant family company, is seeking a Field Service Technician for its Lifecycle Services team. You will perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, audits, and training at customer sites.

This is a full-time, travel-heavy role (up to 80%). You will work on mechanical and electrical modifications, PLC programming (AB CompactLogix, RSLogix500/5000), VFDs, servo motors, and provide hands-on service with safety in mind.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Mechatronics, EE, EET, EECS, or Industrial Electronics is desired.
• Three years of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components experience in the field.
• Three years of diagnosing, troubleshooting, emergency service and repairing electronics and mechanical machine problems in the field.
• AB CompactLogix PLC and RSLogix500/5000 programming experience including minor modifications to PLC programs.
• Interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including schematics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for a US passport.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service calls for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, audits, and training at customer sites.
• Make mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programs and servo drive configuration.
• Conduct site visits to explain scope, training customer personnel, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Aim for high service delivery goals: fast response, first-time fix, customer satisfaction.
• Provide reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements.
• Maintain paperwork: timesheets, CRM entries, expenses, and other admin tasks.
• Periodically provide technical support at Lifecycle Services HQ.
