Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install beverage and vending equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, route lines, connect supplies, and ensure proper drainage. You will educate customers on upkeep and document each service call.

The role requires a CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and EPA 608 certification, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments. Full-time hours with on-the-road service are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and compliance with DOT regulations.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
• Refrigeration Certification Type I/Type II is preferred where applicable.
• Candidate must communicate effectively in English.

• Pay: $24.54 per hour
• Location: Johnson City, TN
• Work Days: Wednesday thru Saturday
• Start Time: 9:00am
• End Time: 7:30pm

What You’ll Do

• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending, cooling, fountain, ice, and frozen beverage equipment at customer accounts
• Diagnose equipment issues and use good judgment to determine the best repair or replacement solution
• Install equipment by routing lines, connecting product, water and gas supply, and ensuring proper drainage; fill and adjust equipment to the correct mixture
• Prioritize and schedule service and preventative maintenance calls to meet customer service windows
• Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep, document each service call using provided tools, and maintain parts inventory on your service truck while building strong relationships at every account

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid CDL License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and Follow DOT regulations (Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Position must be able to lift up to 50lbs (with or without accommodation)
• Position must be able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without accommodation)
• Position requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending when making repairs, often in low places (with or without accommodation)
• Position requires EPA Section 608 Certification
• Position must be able to pass refrigeration certification Type I/Type II practices (if applicable)
