Job summary

SKIDATA USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to service customers in and around the Minneapolis area. You will perform field repairs on parking access systems, troubleshoot LAN networks, and assist with software/hardware issues.

The role requires driving to field locations, coordinating with support teams, and maintaining ERP records in SNOW. The position emphasizes hands-on technical work, customer service, and the ability to configure network devices and firewall settings as part of

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with two years of related training/experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Knowledge of Windows Server, SQL, Windows OS and basic firewall configs.
Willingness to learn new technologies and work independently with remote support as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform field repairs on parking and building access systems, software and hardware.
Troubleshoot devices at the board level and low voltage issues.
Resolve software issues on parking/access systems and understand LAN setups.
Identify network devices on a LAN and use handheld testing tools.
Assist with firewall/router setup and coordinate with upper-level support.
Maintain vehicle status and inventory in the ERP (SNOW) system.
Process work orders, parts, and labor entries per procedures.
Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and preventive checks.
