Job summary

SKIDATA USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to service the greater Chicago area, performing field repairs and preventative maintenance on parking access equipment and related systems. You will troubleshoot LAN configurations, assist with software and hardware issues, and coordinate with upper-level support to ensure client satisfaction.

The role requires driving to client sites, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; two years of training/experience preferred.
• Must possess aptitude to learn new technologies and work independently.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint; driving required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field repairs on parking access and building access systems (software/hardware).
• Troubleshoot devices down to board level and resolve network issues on LANs.
• Set up/configure SKIDATA network components and firewall/router configurations.
• Provide effective customer service to internal and external customers; coordinate with support teams.
