Job summary

SKIDATA Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Field Service Technician to support parking access systems across the SF Bay Area, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware and software within LAN environments.

You will collaborate with upper-level support to configure routers, firewalls, and other network devices, while maintaining inventory and processing work orders in the ERP system. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years field-related experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Windows Server, SQL, Windows OS, and network/firewall configurations.
• Ability to learn SKIDATA systems and complete required training within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform field repairs on parking access and building access systems (software/hardware).
• Troubleshoot devices and networks to board level with low voltage focus.
• Identify and configure LAN components and network devices for SKIDATA systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain vehicle status and inventory in ERP (SNOW).
• Process WOs in ERP for parts and labor and complete maintenance checklists.
• Participate in monthly preventative maintenance and handle ad hoc duties.
