Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform scheduled and remedial service on UPS, Power Distribution Units and battery systems. The role emphasizes customer rapport, on-site support, and collaboration with Technical Support in the Edge market segment.

Travel is required; training provided. Strong safety culture and reporting are core. Eligible candidates should have related technical experience and a readiness to work varied schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience (one or more of the following)
• ASEET or AMEET, or progress towards, is preferred.
• High School or Vocational School Diploma
• 2-4 years military experience in a related technical field
• 0-2 years of relevant industry experience

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks as assigned and as per company policies and procedures
• Capable of working under direct supervision or independently based upon training completion
• Render on-site and phone assistance to customers
• Communicate with Technical Support on technical or procedural issues
• Implement Field Change Notices per published guidelines
• Keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips
