Job summary

Cavco is seeking a Production Service Technician to install, repair and maintain Cavco products on customer sites. The role emphasizes solving electrical and appliance issues with strong attention to quality and safety.

The successful candidate will review manuals and diagrams, communicate clearly with customers, and perform routine preventative maintenance. Travel to various sites and potential after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with some college coursework.
• 2–4 years relevant, related experience.
• Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems.
• Demonstrated in-depth customer service history.
• Effective oral and written communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must maintain a clean, insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs Cavco products, and performs on-site repair and maintenance as scheduled.
• Checks work orders, manuals, blueprints, and diagrams to plan tasks and needed tools.
• Discusses assignment with customer representative and inspects site for correct electrical installation.
• Tests electrical components and replaces faulty parts using appropriate tools.
• Conducts routine preventative maintenance per guidelines.
• Ensures Cavco products meet defined specifications.
• May train customers in equipment operation.
• May repair faulty printed circuit boards.
• May be on-call for emergency repairs after hours.
• Ability to travel to customer sites.
