Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Hartford, CT is seeking a Service Technician to provide superior customer service by repairing and maintaining Renewal by Andersen products in the field using a company vehicle.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and basic construction knowledge, with focus on diagnosing issues, providing accurate part descriptions, and keeping customers informed. Qualifications

• High school diploma and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 2+ years of window installation experience preferred.
• Basic construction techniques and building materials knowledge.
• Good math skills, legible writing, and basic PC skills (Word/Excel).
• Strong interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair previously installed RbA products.
• Analyzes customers' situations, determines corrective action to be taken and verify the action has fixed the situation in a cost efficient and effective manner.
• Keep team members informed as needed of customer interactions and actions taken to resolve service issues.
• Provide accurate part descriptions, including part numbers, to Service RSR.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance and inventory.
• Provide Signature Service to homeowners and peers.
• Basic knowledge of RbA window and door installation techniques and ability to correct installation errors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
