Job summary

Pregis LLC in Aurora, IL is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician for night shifts. The role involves performing scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and utility equipment, troubleshooting PLCs, and reading schematics.

You will document work in CMMS and coordinate with teams to ensure safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with PLC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• PLC certification preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Familiar with maintenance work order systems and technical drawings.
• Proficient with hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Welding and machining experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and AC/DC drive systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
• Complete preventive maintenance checks and document work in CMMS.
• Communicate equipment issues to maintenance and production teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow sanitation protocols.
• Track and report parts usage and inventory levels.
• Follow all safety and compliance standards (OSHA, MSS, SOPs).
• Perform other duties as needed.

Maintenance Technician - Nights

Schedule: 5am-5pm, 2-2-3 Schedule

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $30-35/hour.
