Job summary

Tennant Company is hiring a Field Service Technician in Birmingham, AL. You will diagnose, repair and maintain Tennant equipment at customer sites, manage service activities, and communicate timelines and needs to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and driving policy compliance.
• 3+ years' experience diagnosing and repairing combustion engines (LP, Diesel, or Gas).
• 3+ years' experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• 3+ years' experience using hand and power tools and diagnostic devices.
• 3+ years' experience using a PC, MS Office, and email.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems on Tennant products and similar models.
• Own your territory and plan daily schedule, contacting customers to schedule service activities and maintain clear communication on expectations, timelines, billing and future needs.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of Tennant property, including vehicle, tools, parts and inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, technical support, field service and other technicians to support success.
