Job summary

Amada is seeking a field service engineer to support customers with installation, service, training, networking, programming training, and bending automation training for Amada equipment. Duties include working with presses, shears, and other fabricating machines.

You will travel within assigned territories, install equipment, follow drawings, complete service and expense reports, and train customers on Amada software and line control. Strong trouble shooting and customer relations are essential.

Qualifications

4 yr degree in Electronics or 2 yr degree with related work experience preferred.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and layouts.
Excellent customer relations and clear English communication.
Willingness to travel within assigned territories and occasional overnight stays.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on installation sites.

Responsibilities

Support customers with installation, service, and training on Amada equipment.
Provide programming and software training, as well as line control guidance.
Perform troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and network systems.
Complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
Travel within territories to customer sites and work with various machines.
