IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician – Level 1, 2 or 3 to install, commission and service electrical distribution equipment at customer sites, with training provided in Ashburn, VA. The role emphasizes hands-on work, coordination with clients, and basic testing of switchgear and control panels.

Responsibilities include site installations, testing, troubleshooting, and field problem solving. A technical degree and 8+ years in field service or manufacturing is required, with Level 3 needing

Qualificações

• A technical degree or equivalent and 8 yrs+ of experience in manufacturing, data center or field service with commissioning of LV/MV electrical switchgear (required for Level 3).
• Must be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work evenings/weekends when needed.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems is required for Level 3.

Responsabilidades

• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Perform basic testing and commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment.
• Coordinate with project management and facilities to address commissioning issues and arrange field resources.
• Perform preventive maintenance and field installations on existing equipment.
• Provide technical product support.
