Job summary

GEA Group is looking for a Field Service Technician to support installation, commissioning, and on-site/remote troubleshooting of liquid processing and food projects in the United States. Travel up to 75% is required, with a valid driver’s license and ability to work independently or within a team.

The role emphasizes diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and process issues with Rockwell PLC and HMI, reading P&IDs and manuals, and providing timely service reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in a similar position with Rockwell PLC and HMI.
• Liquid Processing, UHT and aseptic experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand instruction manuals, P&IDs, assembly drawings, PLC and HMI code, troubleshoot software, electrical, and mechanical problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Fluent in English both verbally and written.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision but also work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and commissioning of liquid processing and food projects.
• Support on-site and remote troubleshooting of mechanical and process issues.
• Support Service Sales, and CSR's for quoting and execution of SLA's, Emergency Service, Spare Parts, Upgrade and Modernization.
• Specification of process equipment including size and materials of construction.
• Assist with designing, estimating, and executing service projects as necessary.
• Adheres to OSHA and safety policies and works in a safe manner.
