A leading machinery manufacturing company is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician based in Springdale, AK. Responsibilities include conducting field service calls, performing installations, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $38.00/hr

This role is for candidates within an hour of Springdale, AK.

Duravant’s Life Cycle Services division requires all Field Service Technicians to travel to customer sites to perform total equipment lifecycle management services. This includes installations, preventative maintenance, start‑up/commissioning, troubleshooting issues, and providing upgrades/modernizations.

Duravant Field Service Technician

• Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, technical support, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits and training services.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting for PLC programs and servo drive configuration.
• Achieve service delivery goals including response time, first‑time fix, and customer satisfaction rates.
• Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of all service activities.
• Provide equipment reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements.
• Participate in cross‑training and cross‑functional teams with other Duravant operating companies.

Duravant Field Service Technician Competencies

• Degree of knowledge and experience of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components.
• Ability to interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including schematics and mechanical engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of AB CompactLogix and various other PLCs, experience in operation, troubleshooting, and modifications.
• AB PanelView and various types of HMI programming and troubleshooting.
• Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) parameter configuration and programming.
• Depth‑full understanding of servo drive motor systems and configuration.

Duravant Field Service Technician Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics is desired.
• EE, EET, EECS or Industrial Electronics degree is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in the maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of large capital equipment required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background required.
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting PLCs is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license, valid passport, and a good driving record.
• Travel extensively, up to 80% – this can be regionally, nationally, or internationally.
