Job summary

Kadant Solutions Division seeks a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, installation, start-up and troubleshooting for Kadant products. You will develop strong customer relationships and maintain accurate customer data, prioritizing multiple tasks while traveling as needed across New England.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on equipment knowledge, and collaboration with engineering and sales teams to improve products and services available to customers.

Qualifications

• In-depth mechanical and electrical knowledge of all Kadant products.
• Demonstrate consistent judgment and objective decision making.
• Proactive, resourceful and action-oriented approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute service, installation, start-up and troubleshooting visits.
• Assist DSM with promotion/sales of products, service contracts and parts.
• Grow consumable sales at assigned accounts.
• Provide accurate reports and billing documentation.
• Take field notes, survey machines and evaluate equipment.
• Communicate field modifications to engineering.
• Train customers on adjustments and operation.
