Job summary

Kadant Solutions Division is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting for KSD products. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships and maintaining accurate customer information while handling multiple tasks to drive service revenue.

The FST will travel extensively, provide field support, and work to promote service contracts and consumables at targeted accounts, with safety and teamwork as core values of the role.

Qualifications

• In-depth mechanical and electrical knowledge of products.
• Ability to troubleshoot field issues and provide solutions.
• Strong customer relationship and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute service, installation, start-up and troubleshooting visits.
• Assist the DSM with promotion and sales of services, contracts and spare parts.
• Grow consumable sales at assigned target accounts.
• Provide accurate and timely reports and billing documentation.
• Travel extensively and work weekends/holidays as needed.
