Job summary

State Industrial Products in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Account Manager (Field Service Technician) to drive sales growth, perform preventative maintenance, and manage route completion within an assigned territory.

You will conduct routine service visits to optimize equipment performance and chemical usage, document findings, install or repair, manage inventory, and assist with collections when needed. A background in customer service or sales plus mechanical repair is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service or sales experience.
• Mechanical repair experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed targets for routing efficiency, preventative maintenance standards and account retention.
• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance services on equipment.
• Conduct equipment installations, removals, and after-hours service calls as needed.
• Ensure account retention within the assigned core business territory.
• Identify and recommend additional ancillary products and services based on customer needs.
• Document service results and chemical inventory using handheld devices.
• Replenish and maintain assigned inventory.
• Assist with district and inter-district coverage when required.
• Enforce safety policies and company guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation and reports on time.
• Maintain regularly scheduled company vehicle maintenance.
